Break this build: help test DUET

DUET is a playable web prototype of a two-player strategy game designed for screen-reader play. We’re testing it for an October 31 web release, and we need to find the places where a player gets lost.

Please try the game for about ten minutes with your usual device, browser, and screen reader. Navigate the board and attempt a move. You do not need to finish a match: the first confusing announcement, missing control, or focus trap is useful feedback.

Tell me what you tried, what you expected, and what happened. Include your device, browser, and screen reader if you’re comfortable. Please don’t share a diagnosis or private information. You can reply to this post; technical reports can also go to the DUET GitHub issues. Players who complete a remote match can use its optional anonymous post-game form.

I’m especially looking for someone with a Fire TV device or simulator who can test D-pad navigation and VoiceView by October 4. We need evidence of a rendered board, focus movement, one legal move, and understandable board announcements before deciding whether DUET belongs in the Fire TV hackathon track.

Feedback will shape the Halloween web build. If you want public credit for a contribution, say so; otherwise I’ll discuss the problem without naming you.
